Short guide when upgrading from Community Pricing for WooCommerce (FREE / LITE) to Community Pricing PRO. Verified against PRO collision + Sync Tools behaviour (2.9.17+).
Before you switch
- Note any open LITE campaigns (product IDs, dates, thresholds).
- Do not run LITE and PRO together — PRO auto-deactivates LITE and shows an admin notice with a link to Sync Tools. There is no confirmation dialog (WordPress limitation).
- Take a backup (or staging clone) if the store has live orders.
Switch steps
- Activate Community Pricing PRO (you may leave LITE active — PRO turns it off and notifies you).
- Optionally deactivate LITE yourself first for a cleaner Plugins list.
- If you see a migration / Initial sync notice, open Tools & Sync (Chapter 0) and run alignment — this copies LITE
_wdpp_*campaign meta into PRO_wccp_*. - Confirm products still show promo settings in the PRO Community tab.
What is migrated
- Thresholds, dates, name, sales counter and related campaign meta via the Lite→PRO migration map.
- Leftover
_wdpp_*keys may remain on the product — PRO does not always delete them after copy. - Enable flags may be inferred when thresholds + dates exist; if a product was explicitly off in LITE, re-check Enable Community Pricing after PRO activation (Chapter 4 for licensing) on the product Community tab (Chapter 3 §3.1) after migrate.
What changes (expected)
| Topic | LITE | After PRO |
|---|---|---|
| Equalization | Manual / offline | Automatic Store Credit or gateway refund where supported |
| Unpaid mid-campaign price sync | Off | Available in settings |
| Logs | Essential | Extended Global Log / archives |
| Thresholds | Limited (FREE rules) | PRO rules (unlimited tiers / more types) |
If something looks wrong
- Confirm only PRO is active.
- Re-open the product Community tab — thresholds/dates present?
- Check Global Log / Promotion Hub for sync events.
- Open a Support ticket with product ID + screenshots (Support included scope).
